Shaq Shuq Rio

More than tasty dishes, the new ShaqShuq restaurant in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, offers a new experience of international gastronomy. All meals available on the menu were prepared with renewed touches, always respecting kosher precepts (following the Jewish diet).

The name ShaqShuq is inspired by the term "shakshuka", which means "all mixed", a reference to the traditional dish of Jewish culture that can be consumed both for breakfast and lunch or dinner. According to historians, the origin of "shakshuka" dates back to Yemen, while others claim it came from the Ottoman Empire. It is known that the dish went to Israel through cultures of North Africa and, more specifically, the Libyan-Tunisia region, because it is a healthy and affordable recipe. His preparation based on ingredients such as eggs, vegetables and breads soon made the meal a favorite among families.
