Authentic Sunbrella Rain is amazing fabric that truly doesnt get wet they way you described. I am considering Sunbrella rain but it must be waterproof. I purchased the Hunter couch/ottoman from them in April 2022 and the quality was very poor. maddielee - Right! Rain fabrics require care when fabricating to remain moisture and water repellent. I am hear to tell you the pilling just gets worse it has this awful sandpaper texture! It should be easy to determine if you got the right fabric. Depending upon the cushion style, yardage requirements and pattern rendition will vary. What did the packaging of the cushions say? Once the fabric is sewn there will be needle size holes which will have an actual thread going through it. They're barely even water resistant. The salesperson promised me that my main concern (fabric bunching) would not be an issue if I upgraded the fabric to sunbrella with a weave and the signature foam, but not only does the fabric bunch, the fillers are flattened and the material looks worn.
