Unfortunately I do have a staircase about 20 from the saw on the right- but my saw has a mobile base. I like RIDGID tools and do have quite a bit but the table saw that I will purchase in the coming months is the Professional Series SAW Stop. Mine was manufactured AFTER that date and still had the problem. I rubbed most of it out with Simple Green. I didnt have the blade and miter problems mentioned. Overall it has a decent amount of power, but I really have to slow down when cutting hard woods (might be a little due to my blade). These are printed using ultra-strong PETG plastic in high-end prosumer grade printers. At $220 it doesn't break the bank (even though that's more than 2x what I paid for the saw!). Taking it apart and starting over seemed silly as nothing was wrong with it. I believe the problem develops because theyre shipped upside-down. I really like it.
