What stands out in this scent is that the fig notes are very realistic and natural smelling--there's no mistaking upon first spray that it is fig, a very REAL fig. A lovely summer signature for the price. Fico di Amalfi is super citrusy, especially in the opening, whereas Philosykos is pure green figs. BLUF: Gorgeous summer scent! The top and midnotes are spot on--complex, sophisticated, great summer scent. This is a really lovely fresh summer scent and one of my favorites from the Blu Mediterraneo Line. Fig, cedar and a bit of apricot backing it up. soo pretty, I can't stop smelling it, if only it lasted longer and sillage was better:(( very prominent fig in the best way possible; fresh but creamy at the same time, kind of spa-y however not in the most basic way in which the majority perfumes in this genre qualify as. It's an amazing fresh summery scent but very different, quite creamy with the fig. Love this fragrance. Very pleasant smell. Most couldnt justify paying retail for that performance. This body wash smells heavenly, and is VERY similar to the Old Navy Sea Salt and Fig perfume that has been discontinued. Too bad it's pretty weak. The cherry on top is the presentation. However it can be overpowering at times and when I want to be more discreet I turn to Acqua Di Parma's Fico Di Amalfi. Not necessarily great for high heat due to the earthy, slightly powdery/creamy nature of the fig. I love it.Its my favourite from the blu line along with Arancia Di Capri.It smells like summer.You can wear it for a nightout in a Greek island to go drink your cocktails(Arancia di Capri can be worn for the same purpose as well). If you want to know how it smells before you buy it just smell some fig fruits and you'll have a general idea. It literally made you smile. nice fresh and mildly sweet fragrance. And you give, and I love you! So obviously you need to be a fan of fig to like this fragrance. I first tried Fico di Amalfi in March when it was still winter here and I absolutely hated it. Sillage & Longevity is decent, but not spectacular. It would be better as a room spray. There's nothing worse than cloying perfume still on your skin when you go to the gym. At least i'm happy it's not ruined by some salad-ish tomato note like un jardin sur le Nil. To be honest, the first time a sprayed this, I thought it smelled like some cheap bathroom sprays, but that is for a very short time. It really opened beautifully and I loved the blast of juicy citrus - I thought, "Oh, this is a good one.."but then on my skin it quickly changed. Also, I wasn't expecting beast performance since this is fig and citrus, after all, but I have similar perfumes that handily outperform the 5 hour wear time I got from this. Very nice, inoffensive, clean, fruity scent. This does remind me of Loewe Paulas Ibiza in the early phase but the dry-downs are different and the AdP has a more subtle performance profile but fig leaf and cedar remain very persistent on the skin. If I spray it on at 6:30AM I can still smell the fig strongly at lunchtime and it becomes a softer skin scent after 4. Its warm weather, its coastal, but like most of the blu mediterraneo line it doesnt last more than 4 hours on skin for me. If I didn't know fig is in here I wouldn't guess on a blind sniff, I guess the greenness could be fig tree, but it could just as easily be something else. I will sleep on the idea for now, but for all the ladies out here, this is absolutely beautiful fresh indulgent summer fragrance that is unique and will please everyone around you.
