I pre-ordered both the Pixel 6a and the Pixel Buds Pro. They actually stay on while running! Why they couldn't just provide a 3-way switch with the right earpiece button I'll never understand--touch the middle of the button for primary activities, increase the volume by pressing the top of the earpiece button, and lower it by pressing at the bottomit would actually be more intuitive than the quick tap on the left to raise the volume, and then long/hold-tap on the left to lower the volume (which wasn't always 100% responsive or behaved as expected). The quality of sound isn't really that great, almost a slight echo when listening to them. The way they secure to your head involves some rubber assemblies bending, resting, and exerting ever-so-light pressure around the back of the ears/earlobesthe result is a very secure but personal fit that some may find uncomfortable (at least I did; my wife thought they were very comfortable, FWIW). However, we are sorry to hear about your experience. They get loud, but not loud enough to cancel out any car sounds or leave you unaware of your surroundings. I like the reflective material on the ear buds that are supposed to be good when running at night. I purchased this item for my mother who wanted to try something wireless for the first time so I bought her Plantronics and so far she loves them. I have an earlier version of these headphones and needed a second pair for my late night movie watching. I was able to get the FIT 2100 on sale. I don't know if this is due to the difference in the shape, or angle of the ear piece (see photo). The newer versions of Bluetooth are more efficient compared to older versions, and these Plantronics BackBeat Fit headphones does have the newer Bluetooth 5.0, which allows for more efficient battery usage, and the battery on these does last for quite awhile before needing to be recharged. Only exception is the ear wrap and head piece. backbeat plantronics Boy, does it work! Rita was a Managing Editor at Android Police. But it was the BackBeat Fit that stole my heart. - The timer/stopwatch in the app is not the same as the one on the phone itself--it created some usability confusion as I wasn't sure what control to use to reset the stopwatch (for the record, I couldn't find a control to do so in the app itself which required a restart to actually zero out the timer I was using for my workout) It's Plantronics first foray into true wireless earbuds, but the company chose to do it its own way. backbeat plantronics szary plantro godziny wysyka It's not ideal, but I understand that this had to be sacrificed to get the cable shorter and avoid it flapping around when you run or snagging on gym equipment. As with the 3100, the 2100 uses Bluetooth 5.0, is sweatproof and IP-57 waterproof. They take a second longer to wear than my Anker Zolo Liberty+, but don't budge or slip out no matter how much I run, bounce, tilt, or move. Compared to the Bragi Dash that I reviewed a while ago, the difference is night and day. The type of headphones which have all silicone eartips, these usually fit in the ear with less discomfort after many hours. I also have concern about accidentally powering on the device when not in use and dont want to waste battery life. I have earbuds from Bose, Jlab, Sony, JBL, Apple and Jaybird to name a few and these rank at the bottom of that list. I Broke them out an started using myself lol. These are Backbeat Fit headphones, but the Backbeat Fit app didnt recognize the headset despite having an image of a headset that looks suspiciously like the Fit 2100 (including the PLT logo) on the screen and in the App icon. I wish they go further into my ear but these are designed to still be able to hear your surroundings. I was surprised that there were no other size ear tips with these. Because these Plantronics BackBeat Fit Bluetooth headphones are the type which fits over the top of the ears, this product will likely not fit everyones ears, if a person were to have really small ears or really large ears, then a good fit might not be achievable lava 2100 backbeat headphones plantronics wireless sport Good headphones for simple workouts but NOT recommended for noisy environments such as a public gym. Why they changed it, I don't know. Sound is balanced and bass is surprisingly present (though not heart-thumping, let's be realistic). They do turn on and off when you take them out of the case / put them back in, so you won't worry about that at least. I used them once in the gym and could still hear the background music and some grunts and shouts, so keep that in mind if you're planning on wearing them indoors a lot. Once I downloaded the regular BackBeat app, however, the connection was solid and all functions performed as advertised. - Volume control with the tap surface was also a little dodgy--you tap lightly to increase volume one increment--that was great--but you have to hold the tap surface to lower the volumesometimes one increment, other times it would jump several levels lowerit was simply hard sometimes to find a happy and consistent medium Other than that, the headphones are great for exercising. Among the options are launching Google Assistant, setting a timer or starting a stopwatch, telling you the time or the headset status, toggling mute, and my personal favorite: starting a Spotify playlist. They work good but I liked the older model better. Working from home, these have also worked great for video calls. The Fit 350 deviates from the previous two models. There's variety in price and form factors; whether you exercise indoors or outdoors, prefer true wireless or don't mind the small cable, you'll find something for you. You'll have to use a regular charger or power bank to top it up, which is the only inconvenience here. Got this for a family member an they wanted to wait til later to try them. This has great sound quality but the only thing that I can really say against it thus far is I really don't care for the fact of the "limp" design. However, I had two issues with the design. It's not as fast or as powerful as the Pixel Buds. The earlier version would tell you how many hours of charge you had left. I said kool as one then two months go by now it's 4months. I will admit that most of them have a higher price point than the BackBeats, but $100 isn't cheap for Bluetooth headphones. It comes with a regular carrying pouch and three sizes of eartips to find the most comfortable one for you. I use these for running and have no issues with them coming loose or falling off. I replaced the older model to these due to the left ear speaker not working anymore. The ear hook is flexible, made of rubber, and the entire hook + bud part is light as a feather. My hair got in the way and it felt like my right hand was struggling to get the hook behind my ear and the bud and small loop inside it. - As a "semi-smart" product, I GREATLY appreciate the ability to update the headset firmware via companion iOS app--very user-friendly and easy to navigate I am rating these Plantronics BackBeat Fit headphones at 4 out of 5 stars. These Plantronics Bluetooth headphones are designed to be used for listening to music while physically active, but they also are pretty good for listening to music while at home watching a movie. The sound is awesome compared to the Motorola s11-hd earphones I had prior to this and they dont bounce around in ear or make excess noise. Also when you turn the headphones on you don't get how many hours of charge you have left. The first time I plugged in the charging cable, I did not think the micro USB connector was all the way pressed in, because I did not hear the usual click, so I kept on trying to press the micro USB connector in further, then I realized that Plantronics designed the charging port in such a way so that there is no click when the micro USB connector is inserted.
